This week the Office for National Statistics published the latest employment figures for the three months ending June 2017.

Here’s what they showed.

 

Scotland’s employment rate is the highest on record – and above the UK rate.

 

Scotland’s employment rate has risen to 75.2 per cent. That’s above the UK rate and the highest on record.

Scotland has the lowest unemployment rate in the UK.

Of all UK nations Scotland the biggest quarterly fall in unemployment.

Scotland’s female unemployment rate continues to be lower than the UK rate, and the employment rate higher.
