Richard Lyle
Uddingston & Bellshill
Richard Lyle was born in Bothwellhaugh, Lanarkshire 1950. He was educated at Lawmuir School and Bellshill Academy and joined the SNP in 1966.
Richard was elected as a Councillor for Motherwell District in a by election in October 1976 and has been re-elected at each election since then.
He was previously SNP Group Leader in Motherwell District and North Lanarkshire from 1976 till present and was elected an MSP in May 2011.
